Covid and Illness Self-Screening Screening: We are no longer sending out Covid screening surveys. Please email your therapist directly if you feel unwell, regardless of the severity of symptoms, or if you have tested positive for Covid within 10 days of your appointment. Your therapist may request that you reschedule or switch to a virtual appointment. Thank you for doing your part to keep our team safe and healthy.

Cancellation Policy: Appointments rescheduled or canceled within 48 hours of the appointment time result in a 50% session fee, and within 24 hours of the appointment time result in a 100% session fee.

Similar to Clinical Counselling, Social Work takes a holistic, integrative, and collaborative approach to treatment and builds on your strengths to promote positive change. Therapeutic approaches may include both cognitive and somatic therapies including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), eye movement reprocessing therapy called Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) depending on your needs and goals for therapy. (*There is no GST on sessions with a Social Worker)

Chandra offers a trauma-informed, strengths-based and client-centred approach to counselling youth and adults with a wide variety of concerns. She respects each client’s unique values, goals and lived experience, while offering new perspectives and ideas for change. Through active listening, empathy, curiosity and encouragement, Chandra supports her clients to build new coping strategies and gently challenge areas of rigidity that are getting in the way of learning or growth. She can’t provide you with the internal motivation for change, but can help you to explore the parts of yourself that might be torn in different directions or scared to try something new. Chandra won’t be able to tell you what your unique goals should be, but will strive to help you identify how to live your life in ways that align with your own personal values.

Chandra’s clinical work integrates a variety of counselling approaches to holistically address each client’s unique concerns, personal goals and barriers to achieving them. These approaches include EMDR trauma therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotion-focused therapy (EFT), Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Person-Centred (Rogerian) therapy and Solutions-focused therapy. She also incorporates motivational interviewing, conflict resolution & Non-Violent (aka compassionate) Communication strategies.

Chandra specializes in supporting clients to manage the symptoms of trauma, dissociation, anxiety, and mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder). She has experience supporting clients with OCD, ADHD and mild to moderate levels of disordered eating. She provides both harm reduction and abstinence-based support to clients who are struggling with substance use concerns. Chandra provides specialized career counselling to support clients with intersecting disabilities, mental health concerns and trauma. To assist clients in exploring new career options, Chandra can offer career assessments, such as the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) & Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

Chandra always strives to provide a warm and welcoming space to individuals of diverse ages, genders, sexual orientations, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
